First time being sick

On Thursday morning August 20, Parker woke up with first illness. He started daycare on Monday and I guess the daycare germ tales are true. He is doing pretty well all things considered. He is also teething! Poor boy, double whammy. He has been running a low grade fever, sneezing like crazy, and coughing. Hopefully it will be over soon. Mommy and Daddy caught it too!

Last Trip for Summer Vacation

Parker and I took a trip to Kentucky to see his Nana and Grand-daddy. It was really just a relaxing trip. We didn't do a whole lot of anything exciting. We had a great time but of course we were anxious to get home and see Daddy-man. Here are some pictures of the trip.

No, No, No Grumpypants!

This is what I always tell Parker when he gets grumpy. He thinks it is so funny! He begins to laugh. Anyway, today he is being very grumpy! I know that his teeth can't be far away. I took a look in his mouth this morning and what do I see but two teeth! I will get some pictures later. Right now, he is supposed to be napping, but he is busy being grumpy.

Only my son..Hilarity

Ok, so today I go out on our usual adventures errands and keeping busy during the summer time. I have looked at few blogs with babies playing with those "old fashioned" Fisher Price stacking rings that seem to have been around since the dawn of time. I have looked at videos of babies neatly stacking or taking the rings off the pedestal (for lack of a better word). The babies looks so cute and are having fun. I buy a set of these rings at Target and I can hardly wait to get home, unwrap the package, and hand them to Parker. Well my son, takes the rings off, I am clapping with excitement. He then proceeds to shove the entire pedestal in his mouth. Takes it out, laughs and smiles, and continues this game. Here is a picture of hilarity. I need to get this on video too!

Graduation Ceremony!

Parker is a big boy now and he officially has moved to his convertible car seat. We were packing away his swing, bouncer, play mats, and other infant accessories this weekend. I decided we should just move him up to his big boy car seat, so we wouldn't have to venture up into the attic again in a few weeks or months. Here is a pictures of Parker in his car seat when we brought him home from the hospital and the day we took the seat out of the car. Isn't it truly amazing to see how big he is?

Parker is seven months!

He is such an amazing little man. Some milestones are:
*Sits up without any propping. (He will fall occasionally)
*Gets up on his hands/knees and rocks!
*Eat solids like a champ. So far he has tried - green beans, oatmeal, rice cereal, peaches, avacado, sweet potato, apples, butternut/acorn squash.
*Working on drinking out of a sippy cup.
*Cries when Mommy leaves his sight
*Drum Roll PLEASE!!!!!!!! He sleeps through the night!!!
*Sits in a big boy car seat. No more infant seat.

We see him grow each day and we are amazed at our wonderful little man. We couldn't imagine our life any other way.
