Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

Mason and Audrey are fantastic eaters. I can't express how excited this makes me. Parker has never been a good eater, apparently he gets this from me. I do blame myself for his horrible eating habits. I didn't expose him to enough when he was a baby. I made all his baby food and never really made too many meats because it was just gross. I also didn't push food as quickly as I have with the twins.

I have started to expose them to a lot of our table food. Most of the articles I read say that 8 months is a good age to start. I have also read some articles and blog on baby lead weaning. This is when parents never offer pureed food and go right to table food. I think it is interesting, so I have started offering them parts of our meal. Mason was gagging on most food, but I kept offering. Audrey LOVES any food you offer her. She gets very excited.

Tonight I cut up some chicken that I grilled for dinner in very small pieces and they both gobbled it up. Sweet Sucess!!!!!!!!

Mommy's Favorite Faces

Gosh...only a Mommy can explain how much you can love one (or three) little faces so much. Only a Mommy can kiss these cheeks 'til they can't be kissed anymore.

Easter 2011

Easter with Parker was really fun this year. He knew the Easter bunny was going to bring him treats, and it helped us get him to bed on Easter eve. I asked him what he thought the Easter bunny would bring and he said, "Lollipops." I felt horrible because I had spoken with the Easter bunny and I knew it was too late to change our order. :) A chocolate bunny was going to have to be good enough. He woke up to three baskets, I don't think he quite understood that two of them weren't his. Parker said he would share with Mason and Audrey. He is such an awesome big brother. The bunny brought him some animal crackers, a big chocolate bunny, play dough, tennis balls, and a real tennis racquet. The bunny also hid eggs around the house. Parker thought the bunny found some silly hiding spots.

We head to Mom-Mom and Bop's house for some Easter grub. It was pouring rain so I totally forgot about taking pictures of the kids in their Easter best. I am sad because they were so cute!!

The Great Pool Disaster

Well, I had a grand idea of taking the kiddos out on the patio in the pool. They all were down for an afternoon nap, I crept outside and filled the small pool with water. With our HOT Florida sun, I figured it would warm up by the time we made it outside. Everybody was ready in their swimsuits and hats for an afternoon of splashing fun. First, we get out and Parker decides to put his truck in the pool that is full of dirt. Second, he gets wet and is screaming for a towel. At this point, I think my neighbors might call the the police. I pull the babies out of the pool for fear they might drown while I take care of the screaming. Now that he is dry and not screaming, he begins splashing like Niagra Falls. Audrey is now screaming and Parker is in time-out. Pool time is officially over but before I could get us into the house, I turn around to see all of our towels floating in the pool. I am a complete failure of a multi-tasking mother, but I did manage to get some pictures.
Good thing I have a day job!!

An "Egg"cellent Breakfast

In honor of Mason and Audrey's eighth monthday on Sunday, we let them try some egg yolks. Audrey LOVED them, but the again she loves anything that is put in front of her. Mason wasn't so sure. And Parker, *sigh* still does not like eggs. I am determined to make these babies better eaters than their favorite big brother.

8 month picture fun

8 Months Old

Audrey and Mason turned 8 months old today. I can't believe that we are definitely closer to one than zero! I love these babies more and more everyday. I know how quickly they grow so I have taken the time to enjoy the small stuff. When P was a baby I spent most of my time anticipating the next step. I have no problem that Audrey is just now starting to sit and isn't even close to crawling. This time last year I was struggling to make it through my last 8 weeks of school and want to quit every single day. Here is a little bit about the babies....

Mason! Oh boy, oh boy! He has two teeth on the bottom. He has been crawling like a champ for a few weeks now. He is wearing 6-9 months clothes still, but I see 12 months in the very near future. We are squeezing him into size 2 diapers, but desperately needs to be in size 3. (Yes, we over bought on diapers) He doesn't eat that great, and gags on most table foods we try. I believe he probably weighs around 18lbs. He still riding in his infant seat and will until he outgrows the maximum limit. Last week, when we were on vacation he starting pulling himself up to a standing position. He is into everything. I have to make sure everything is off the floor because it will be in his mouth otherwise. We also need to block off the DVD player soon. He loves giggling with his sister and watching Parker.

Audrey the princess. She is finally rolling over like a champ. She sits pretty well for long periods of time. She does bare weight on her legs now. She LOVES to eat. She will scream if you don't shovel it in fast enough or feed her brother while she waits. I started doing more table foods for her since she is so impatient. I think she likes it. I haven't noticed any gagging with her. She is weraing 6-9 months also but I think she will be here for a little while longer. She is still wearing size 2 diapers and they fit her nicely. She has the tiniest little feet ever. We bought her some 0-3 months shoes and they are too big. We believe she weighs around 17 lbs. She is defintely taller than her twin brother. She loves both of her brothers more than anything. She smilies so big when her Daddy gets home from work at night. She babbles Da Da Da.

We have teeth and the camera is fixed!

So I have been a terrible, horrible, no good blogger since our life has turned into complete chaos on August 17th, 2010. When I finally started to have time to blog and take pictures again, my camera broke. Then it took me another several weeks to mail the camera back to Canon. It came back fixed and now I am a happy girl. I have been clickin' like crazy. Poor Audrey is scared of the flash which is fine because Mommy tries to use the flash as little as possible.

Both babies have teeth now! Mason popped two bottom teeth a few weeks ago and Audrey has one bottom tooth. Here is a picture of Audrey to prove it.
